Hillingdon AC

500 members, half of them under 21

🏃 Hillingdon 2–3 times per week - Tuesdays, Thursdays & Sundays Track Competitive Beginner-friendly

We're around 500 strong with nearly half our members under 21 - so there's youthful energy here, plus an active social side that keeps things ticking over all year.

Track and field happens at Hillingdon Athletics Stadium in Uxbridge; road and cross country run from the clubhouse at 206 Bury Street, Ruislip. Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6–8pm, Sunday morning long runs, covering beginner to competitive. We compete across the South of England and Middlesex, and there's a thriving junior section.

Professional when it counts, but happy and welcoming throughout. A great all-rounder out west.

Real stories of people who found their people in London.

Liam Carver · 17 June 2026 Burnout took me apart. A beginner running club is how I put myself back together. I pushed myself until I broke, then sat at home ashamed and flat. Learning to run slowly, with no one keeping score, taught me that showing up gently beats winning. Bridget Lawson · 18 June 2026 I look after my mum full time. A Saturday walk is the one hour that's mine. Caring for someone you love can quietly erase you. This is about the morning I started walking with a group of strangers, and how one hour a week gave me back to myself. Margaret Ellison · 5 June 2026 At 68, I thought my world had got smaller. A walking group proved me wrong. After I retired and lost my husband, the house went quiet and the days got long. Then a Saturday walking group gave me back something I thought was gone for good.
