Edmonton Running Club

Coffee on the Green, miles in your legs

🏃 Enfield 2–3 times per week Social Beginner-friendly Competitive

Going since 1981 and fully England Athletics affiliated, we're a friendly, growing bunch covering a real range of abilities around Enfield.

Runs set off from Hazelwood Sports Club in Winchmore Hill, and from Winchmore Hill Green - right outside Espresso&Co, so post-run coffee is basically compulsory - with monthly track at the Queen Elizabeth II Stadium. We're here to cheer each other on and have a laugh, and we put on the popular Run the River 10k.

Meeting points move around, so check the events calendar first. New faces always warmly received.

Real stories of people who found their people in London.

Rachel Okafor · 15 June 2026 I was someone's mum from 6am to midnight. A book club gave me back two hours that were mine. After my son was born I disappeared into being his mother. The thing that brought me back wasn't a spa day or a grand gesture. It was a paperback and a room full of women. Claire Donnelly · 7 June 2026 I sat silent at book club for months. Finding my voice there changed my whole life. I'd spent my whole life letting other people's opinions fill the room. A monthly book club, and one patient question, taught me that mine mattered too. Stephen Pryce · 11 June 2026 I couldn't remember the last time I'd made a new friend. Then I made one at 41. My friendships had quietly thinned out over a decade, and I'd stopped believing new ones were still possible at my age. A weekly board game night proved me wrong.
