Bermondsey Street Runners

Movement, connection and a corner of SE1 that's yours

🏃 Southwark 2–3 times per week - Wednesdays, Fridays & Sundays Beginner-friendly Social

What started as a little local run club has grown into a proper SE1 community - built on movement, connection and looking out for one another.

Wednesday 7pm from Crol & Co, Friday 7:30am and Sunday 8:30am from Chapter 72 on Bermondsey Street, plus a beginners' Start Line group Fridays 7:30am at Tanner Street Park. Expect a social jog with a Couch-to-5K-style intro for newcomers and 10–20km Sunday long runs - no one gets left behind. There's yoga and community events in the mix too.

A gorgeous way to learn Bermondsey on foot and make a few friends while you're at it.

Real stories of people who found their people in London.

Arjun Mehta · 13 June 2026 I optimised my whole life in London. Except the part that actually mattered. I moved here for a brilliant engineering job and built a life so efficient I barely had to speak to anyone. It worked perfectly, right up until it didn't. A running club fixed what I couldn't. Claire Donnelly · 7 June 2026 I sat silent at book club for months. Finding my voice there changed my whole life. I'd spent my whole life letting other people's opinions fill the room. A monthly book club, and one patient question, taught me that mine mattered too. Hannah Cole · 3 June 2026 I moved to London for the job. The loneliness nearly sent me home. Arriving in a city of nine million people and feeling invisible - and the ordinary Tuesday evening that slowly changed everything.
