Sidcup & District U3A Ramblers

Gentle Freedom Pass walks in South East London

🥾 Bexley Monthly - Tuesdays Beginner-friendly Social

This welcoming University of the Third Age group runs friendly rambles for retired and semi-retired members across South East London and into Kent. Walks of around 4 to 5 miles take in places like Footscray Meadows, the Thames Path, Greenwich, Regent's Canal and Victoria Park - wherever the Freedom Pass can reach - usually ending with a sociable cafe or pub stop.

Held on a regular monthly rhythm (their 4th-Tuesday group), the focus is on health, friendship and mental wellbeing at an unhurried pace. It's a wonderfully sociable, low-pressure way to explore on foot and make friends in later life.

If you fancy gentle walking with good company and plenty of chat, you'll feel right at home. Membership is via the local U3A.
