Outdoor walks and events for mixed-heritage people
Roots of Belonging creates outdoor events and walks for people of mixed, dual heritage and multicultural backgrounds - a space to connect with nature and with others who share that experience. Founded by Isabella McDonnell, the group runs seasonal events including book walks, climbing, treks and nature retreats (recent highlights include a Lake District weekend and a cabin retreat in Hazel Hill Woods).
It's a thoughtful, welcoming community rather than a fixed-schedule club, so the best way to join in is to follow along and book onto upcoming events via their website and Instagram. If you've ever felt between worlds and wanted an outdoors community that genuinely understands that, this is a warm and affirming place to belong.
All experience levels are welcome.
