Social-media-born walks escaping the city
Overground started almost by accident in 2023 and grew into one of London's most popular young walking communities, attracting hundreds of walkers to its countryside hikes around the city. Expect to spend around half a day exploring scenic spots like the Surrey Hills, Seven Sisters cliffs, Epping Forest and Margate, meeting new people and forming friendships.
It's a relaxed, friendly group built around getting out of London for fresh air and good company - perfect if your own friends would rather stay in town. Walks are posted on their Instagram (@over_____ground, with five underscores), where you'll find dates, locations and details for the next adventure.
