London's Ramblers group for people of working age
Met Walkers is the London walking community aimed at people of working age, and the largest Ramblers group in London. If you want to escape the city at weekends and meet a friendly, sociable crowd, this is a great fit.
Volunteers lead walks every weekend, from short, leisurely outings to strenuous 17+ mile hikes across hilly terrain, plus a midweek evening stroll exploring the capital. You'll head to the North Downs, South Coast and Chilterns, all reachable by public transport.
New walkers can come along for three taster walks before joining the Ramblers, and there's a busy social programme with weekends away to the Lake District, Snowdonia and Scotland. Many members walk regularly and form lasting friendships along the way.
