Formed in 1991 as London membership grew, KC&W Ramblers brings together people of a wide range of ages, backgrounds and interests, all united by a love of walking. As one of the Inner London Ramblers groups, its programme mixes accessible city walks with country outings reached by public transport.

Walks are led by friendly volunteers and welcome newcomers, who can try a few before joining the Ramblers. It's a sociable, central group ideal if you live or work around Kensington, Chelsea or Westminster and want to discover both London's green spaces and the countryside beyond - all in good company and at a manageable pace.

Real stories of people who found their people in London.

Liam Carver · 17 June 2026 Burnout took me apart. A beginner running club is how I put myself back together. I pushed myself until I broke, then sat at home ashamed and flat. Learning to run slowly, with no one keeping score, taught me that showing up gently beats winning. Margaret Ellison · 5 June 2026 At 68, I thought my world had got smaller. A walking group proved me wrong. After I retired and lost my husband, the house went quiet and the days got long. Then a Saturday walking group gave me back something I thought was gone for good. Arjun Mehta · 13 June 2026 I optimised my whole life in London. Except the part that actually mattered. I moved here for a brilliant engineering job and built a life so efficient I barely had to speak to anyone. It worked perfectly, right up until it didn't. A running club fixed what I couldn't.
