Central London Ramblers since 1991

🥾 Westminster Regular led walks; see programme Social Day trips Beginner-friendly

Formed in 1991 as London membership grew, KC&W Ramblers brings together people of a wide range of ages, backgrounds and interests, all united by a love of walking. As one of the Inner London Ramblers groups, its programme mixes accessible city walks with country outings reached by public transport.

Walks are led by friendly volunteers and welcome newcomers, who can try a few before joining the Ramblers. It's a sociable, central group ideal if you live or work around Kensington, Chelsea or Westminster and want to discover both London's green spaces and the countryside beyond - all in good company and at a manageable pace.

Real stories of people who found their people in London.

Stephen Pryce · 11 June 2026 I couldn't remember the last time I'd made a new friend. Then I made one at 41. My friendships had quietly thinned out over a decade, and I'd stopped believing new ones were still possible at my age. A weekly board game night proved me wrong. Margaret Ellison · 5 June 2026 At 68, I thought my world had got smaller. A walking group proved me wrong. After I retired and lost my husband, the house went quiet and the days got long. Then a Saturday walking group gave me back something I thought was gone for good. Rachel Okafor · 15 June 2026 I was someone's mum from 6am to midnight. A book club gave me back two hours that were mine. After my son was born I disappeared into being his mother. The thing that brought me back wasn't a spa day or a grand gesture. It was a paperback and a room full of women.
