Ken's Events Walks

Affordable green walks ending in a pub

Make it your goal to get out and about more with Ken's Events, a sociable group running medium-length walks and hikes around London's green spaces and waterways, plus the surrounding countryside and occasional coastal towns. Walks take you through parks, woods, and alongside lakes, canals and rivers - and always end in a pub, so there's a friendly social afterwards where new friendships are formed.

The emphasis is on meeting new people, enjoying nature, healthy exercise and fresh air, rather than historical lectures. Walks are a flat £5 on the day (free for membership-card holders), and you should be moderately fit and able to manage the distance.

A great, good-value way to discover London's lesser-known green corners with a welcoming crowd.

Real stories of people who found their people in London.

Liam Carver · 17 June 2026 Burnout took me apart. A beginner running club is how I put myself back together. I pushed myself until I broke, then sat at home ashamed and flat. Learning to run slowly, with no one keeping score, taught me that showing up gently beats winning. Claire Donnelly · 7 June 2026 I sat silent at book club for months. Finding my voice there changed my whole life. I'd spent my whole life letting other people's opinions fill the room. A monthly book club, and one patient question, taught me that mine mattered too. Bridget Lawson · 18 June 2026 I look after my mum full time. A Saturday walk is the one hour that's mine. Caring for someone you love can quietly erase you. This is about the morning I started walking with a group of strangers, and how one hour a week gave me back to myself.
