Walks in London's greenest borough and beyond
Bromley Ramblers are an eclectic, friendly bunch based in the largest and greenest London borough, stretching from Crystal Palace in the north to the North Downs in the south. They walk the more rural parts of the borough and into Kent, Surrey and East Sussex, with occasional ventures further afield.
There are walks on Wednesdays, Saturdays and two on Sundays (and occasionally other days), ranging from short, leisurely three-mile outings to challenging all-day hikes of up to 18 miles depending on the season. Whatever your ability or reason for walking, there's a walk to suit you - and newcomers always remark how friendly the group is.
As they put it, walking is good for the soul as well as the body.
