Europe's largest outdoor group for Black women
Founded in 2019 by Rhiane Fatinikun MBE, Black Girls Hike is a safe, welcoming community for Black women to explore the outdoors and reconnect with nature - and you don't need any experience to come along. The London branch, led by regional leader Oge Ejizu, runs monthly walks in and around the capital, from Epping Forest and the Green Chain Walk to day trips further afield like the Seven Sisters cliffs.
Whether it's your first walk or your hundredth, all levels are warmly welcomed. The group exists to give Black women a space to be themselves without feeling judged or out of place, and the community spirit is genuinely uplifting.
Founder Rhiane has even partnered with Transport for London on heritage walks celebrating the Windrush generation.
