Sharing ideas and connecting over great literature in Kew

📚 Richmond upon Thames Monthly - last Thursday Beginner-friendly Fiction Literary fiction Classics

Step inside the beautiful Kew Library for our monthly evening book group, meeting on the last Thursday of every month at 4.30pm.

Our group is small, friendly, and passionate about discovering outstanding books together. We select our titles from the library's pre-curated book sets, covering a rich spectrum of contemporary fiction, prize-winners, and historical novels. It is a wonderful, free space to discuss your favorite reads, swap ideas, and make lasting local friendships. We would love to welcome you!

Real stories of people who found their people in London.

Hannah Cole · 3 June 2026 I moved to London for the job. The loneliness nearly sent me home. Arriving in a city of nine million people and feeling invisible - and the ordinary Tuesday evening that slowly changed everything. Stephen Pryce · 11 June 2026 I couldn't remember the last time I'd made a new friend. Then I made one at 41. My friendships had quietly thinned out over a decade, and I'd stopped believing new ones were still possible at my age. A weekly board game night proved me wrong. Margaret Ellison · 5 June 2026 At 68, I thought my world had got smaller. A walking group proved me wrong. After I retired and lost my husband, the house went quiet and the days got long. Then a Saturday walking group gave me back something I thought was gone for good.
