Pull up a pint with London's biggest pub-based book group! Running since 2005, the Brixton Book Group is highly informal, relaxed, and wonderfully non-cliquey, gathering monthly in the Churchill Room at the Effra Social in Brixton.

We read an incredibly diverse range of books, from science fiction and classics to translations and contemporary award-winners. At the end of each meeting, we pitch and vote on our next read. There is absolutely no pressure to finish the book-you are always welcome to just drop in, grab a pint, and enjoy some friendly local chat. Come and join our long-running literary circle!
